Chasen Dreams

We have decided not to push through with our Baguio trip since we don’t have enough funds for it.  But, when you deserve a vacation, all the universe conspires in helping you to have it. Hehe.  My husband’s aunt invited us for the house warming of their retirement home in Tagaytay.  Free accommodation, free food...of course, I instinctively confirmed our  attendance. We went to Tagaytay a day before the house warming.  We were expected at around 5pm but since we were excited and we wanted to sip bulalo soup  without being too demanding to our host, we went earlier. My husband and I have always wanted a minimalist home. We’ve always wanted a home which does not house a lot of  knick-knacks.    Actually, it’s my husband who’s fussy about the stuff we bring into our home.     It should always be worth the space.    One of my husband’s dreams is to hang paintings on our wall.  He is not that artistic but he appreciates art.  For me, artworks are all the same. Haha. So when I saw a painting in a department store which price was slashed by 50%, I became so giddy and immediately alerted my husband.  My husband’s response was “Ah okay…but I don’t like mass produced paintings” and cut my excitement just like that!  Ah ok…My search for paintings ended right then and there.   Then last February, destiny brought us into a coffee shop  with an  adjacent art gallery.  It was not our intent to go to that place.   Our plan for the night was to dine at Jose...

Two years ago, I blogged about our first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife.  We had a date in a burger stand near the condo we were renting then.  It was a cheap date, yes.  However, it was date filled with hopes and dreams.  Our reason for not spending too much was we were saving for something bigger than a plate of steak i.e. a home which we can call our own. December 15, 2013 – Chadan turned one!   I know. I know. This is a late post again.   What do you expect from a wife who does not have an internet connection at home?   You read it right.   We don’t have an internet connection   and most of my blog posts were written and published in the office.      I usually write during lunch/coffee breaks or during coding days.   That explains my lack of updates.    Excuses!
